·         U.S. stocks rebounded on Tuesday, boosted by gains in industrial shares following reports of renewed trade negotiations between the United States and China.


The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI rose 108.36 points, or 0.43 percent, to 25,415.19, the S&P 500 .SPX gained 13.69 points, or 0.49 percent, to 2,816.29 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC added 41.79 points, or 0.55 percent, to 7,671.79.


·         European shares climbed on Tuesday to a new six-week high on signs of a détente in the U.S.-China trade dispute, while strong earnings updates drove gains for stocks including Germany’s Lufthansa and France’s Vivendi.


·         Asian stocks edged higher on Wednesday, taking cues from the positive session seen stateside and following news that the U.S. and China may restart official talks about their months-long trade dispute.


The Nikkei 225 advanced 0.53 percent in morning trade. Steelmakers and the miscellaneous product sector led gains early on, with JFE Holdings rising 7.72 percent. Automakers also traded largely higher amid softness in the yen.
